The Perfect Polo Collection

Lacoste was founded by French tennis legend René Lacoste, four-time international champion and the world's best player in 1926-127. He drew inspiration from sporting values of high standards, fair play and boldness. It resulted in a timeless Lacoste collection.
The crocodile took its current form in 1927, drawn by designer Robert George. René Lacoste was an early fan of personalized items and immediately has the logo embroidered on his jackets. A few years later, the polo sees the light of day. With the crocodile over its heart, Lacoste is the first brand to have a visible logo on a garment.
